It's all just so hectic!

I swear my life is just getting busier and busier. I am a stay-at-home mom and full-time student working on my A.A. As if I'm not already busy enough I now have a million and a half appointments to scheduled just for myself! I went to the doctor yesterday thinking that I had an ear infection and sore throat. Then she tells me I have TMJ (abbreviations FREAK me OUT!). TMJ is Temporomandibular Joint Disorder. So at first I think okay something is wrong with my jaw bone and it can probably be fixed by a mouth guard... WRONG!! I went to the dentist to day and found out that my jaw is super messed up. In my x-ray it looks like I am tilting my head to the side... Also while at the dentist I found out that while I was pregnant the filling that I was waiting to get filled after he was born has gotten sooo bad that I MIGHT (key word is might) need a root canal.. 22 years old and might need a root canal. YIKES! So now I have appointments for fillings and possible root canal, I have to wait for my referral from my PCM for the TMJ specialist, and then I find out that my 2 month old is still fighting his on and off again fever! So tomorrow we get to go to his doctor to figure out what is wrong with him. And on top of that this week is finals week in my classes. So squeezing in a little study time has been difficult and squeezing in my blogging time is even harder...

Hoping that everything will work out.

It's the little things that count

Before I tell you the things that happened I just want to let everyone know. I AM NOT A RACIST and NEITHER IS MY HUSBAND... First I'll give you a little background. I am 100% a lot of white people. I am half German (my mother is from Bitburg) and I am half American (with a background of almost every white European you can think of). My husband on the other hand is 100% full Mexican from Tijuana. With that said my husband likes to be a jokester. He makes jokes, he tells jokes, but he doesn't get American Humor. So everytime I say a joke it is of course not funny! Boo on him. Anyways. Today we were sitting in the living room and my husband was holding my son so I could finish my school work and in Spanish he asks my son " Why were you born soooo white!" I do not understand a lot of Spanish but oh boy did I understand that! My husband thinks he's funny!! So I pointed out (like I always do) 1. His momma is Twilight white. 2. It is the winter time and he cannot be out in the sun too long because it is freaking COLD. 3. You're Mexican so you have to know that your son may be white but is still darker than his momma! Poor kid is going to have a complex about being a super white Mexican. But I think he already knows he's Mexican because the other day when I asked him if he was Mexican he smiled really big and giggle!! PRICELESS.

Motherhood Newbie

So my son is a little over two months old or as my lovely husband would say 65 days old. When he was not even a day old he was already trying to hold his head up even the Pediatritian was impressed! Day by day his little head gets stronger, but when he gets happy and he is sitting up (assisted) his head goes EVERYWHERE! The poor little thing has managed to hit his nose on my collar bone and his grandma's. Within the first month I was able to mail out and hand out almost half of his birth announcements. However, I still have half of them left and sending them finally to my husband's side of the family along with Valentine's Day cards. Yes, I know it's cheesy but I always loved receiving and sending Valentines. So I figured this year I'd send a few out, and I also got them for nearly free through Shutterfly all I had to do was pay shipping. I really want to get these out so they can get to the locations on time, but of course I am STILL waiting on my procrastinating husband! So I currently am a stay at home mom and full-time college student working towards my A.A. sure some people think it is easy until they have a nearly newborn in their house who wants to be held all the time when he is awake and when he's asleep you're so tired you can barely keep your eyes open. So school is a little more challenging to do now, but somehow I am managing to still maintain an A in both my classes (knock on wood). When my husband gets home sometimes it just feels like I'm getting a lot of critism. No, I'm not as laid back as him, I stress out easy, and it is harder on me than on him because I'm the one who wakes up with the little one while he sleeps right through it. So when he sits there and tells me that we need to straigten up the house and keep it straight it is hard especially when it is not messy and I just cleaned! He should've seen the tornado that came through before he got home. Needless to say being a "housewife" is not as easy as I thought it would be. I want dinner cooked... bleh... I want it vaccummed... bleh... I want my laundry done... bleh.. I'm running late can you iron my uniform... bleh... somedays I've had enough and just want to sit in a scalding hot bath and relax!

Feeling that way now!
